Green spaces are the very lungs of a city. Such spaces help promote a healthy and balanced eco-system and in turn guarantee the health of the citizens.

Despite growing pressures of an increasing population and continuous urbanization, Delhi has managed to retain its green cover. Today, it is one of the greenest capitals of the world, with a green cover of about 17 percent. We have city forests, bio-diversity parks and green belts, together with facilities such as jogging tracks, fitness trails, open gyms, children’s playing areas etc., spread across the city.

As residents of this great city, it is our duty to protect and promote these green areas and pass on a greener and healthier city to our coming generations.

The Module– ‘Feedback for the Maintenance of DDA Parks’ is an initiative which intends to monitor the maintenance of green cover all across Delhi. The citizens of Delhi will now be able to access information about DDA parks smoothly and seamlessly and will be able to provide feedback online only.

I urge the citizens of Delhi to become an active part of this initiative and keep the DDA abreast of any requirement of maintenance in your nearby green areas (maintained by DDA), by using this Application.

Let us join hands to make our environment greener and healthier, not just for ourselves but for the generations to come.

Jai Hind.

Najeeb Jung
Lieutenant Governor of Delhi
